About Us Growing up just outside of London left me with fond memories of dart boards, worn wood bars and fried food. As much as I loved my favorite pubs, I was happy to find that the food improved greatly as I revisited my old haunts. I discovered that the Gastropub movement had begun. The proprietors of the pubs began to bring in classically trained chefs and produce some world class cuisine. It is always a surprise when you are in a small town just outside of London and stroll into the local pub to have an amazing meal. Proper brings those qualities of a "local" with a place to have a pint and talk to your favorite tender while watching your favorite sport. If you want to make it a culinary experience simply order from the menu and enjoy. Our chef has put his twist on some British classics and added some signature dishes as well. |
